Overview: Join a dedicated team supporting the developmental and care needs of young children in a nurturing childcare center located in the Southeastern United States. This role assists the lead teacher in delivering a high-quality program that fosters growth and learning in a safe, clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and daily learning activities for individuals and groups.
• Engage positively with children, serving as a role model and ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist with curriculum planning and preparation of materials.
• Follow established center procedures such as diaper changing, emergency protocols, and daily schedules independently.
• Participate in parent involvement initiatives including newsletters, conferences, and meetings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Early Childhood Development coursework (minimum 6 additional hours) from an accredited institution.
• Out-of-state coursework must be reviewed by the appropriate state division of childhood development.
• Certification in Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED from the American Heart Association is required.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in a childcare or elementary school setting.

Skills and Abilities:

• Understanding of physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of children from birth to five years.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to observe and respond to children's needs effectively.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform activities including walking, standing, and lifting children and various objects.
