Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team supporting both administrative and clinical needs of licensed medical professionals. This role involves assisting with patient vital signs, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and well-being at all times.
• Accurately document patient care and interactions during visits and phone communications.
• Collect and process point-of-care, laboratory, and pathology samples following established protocols.
• Perform quality and safety checks on waived testing equipment and supplies.
• Provide patient education under provider guidance.
• Administer treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies as ordered by licensed providers.
• Assist providers during procedures and examinations, including chaperoning and setup.
• Prepare reusable instruments for sterilization and manage biohazard and pharmaceutical waste according to OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment by adhering to infection prevention standards.
• Manage supply inventory in designated clinical areas.
• Support front desk operations including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting with coding and billing processes.
• Coordinate with external healthcare partners to facilitate patient care plans.
• Monitor electronic health record communications and respond promptly.
• Perform components of well visits and scheduled nursing visits as directed.
• Complete all required documentation prior to provider visits.
• Conduct high-level disinfection procedures as per policy.
• Flexibly float to other clinics as needed.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with successful completion of a nationally recognized certification exam such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Preferred: Minimum of one year clinical experience in an outpatient setting.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations and activate emergency services.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and providers both in person and via phone.
• Physical capability to perform clinical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Comfortable with potential exposure to blood or other infectious materials.
