We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to lead and coordinate the clinical operations of a Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit in a vibrant regional healthcare setting in the Southeastern United States. This role involves overseeing patient care services, managing resources, and fostering a collaborative environment among interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support service delivery.
• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Facilitate team meetings, daily rounds, and effective communication across departments and community agencies.
• Coordinate patient care services with other departments and external providers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as JCAHO and OSHA.
• Monitor staffing levels, qualifications, and competencies to maintain safe and effective care.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives and quality control activities.
• Provide orientation, ongoing training, and continuing education for staff.
• Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with care coordination teams to optimize patient throughput and discharge processes.
• Oversee customer satisfaction and hospital capacity management efforts.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or actively pursuing.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience related to management and at least 1 year in a management or leadership role.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting, staffing, performance improvement, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with nurse practice acts and age-specific patient care needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Physical ability to perform duties including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and occasional heavy lifting.
