Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to lead and coordinate the clinical operations of a Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit in a vibrant regional healthcare setting in the Southeastern United States. This role involves overseeing patient care, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support effective service delivery.
• Foster positive professional relationships within the interdisciplinary team and with patients and families.
• Lead team meetings, daily rounds, and facilitate clear communication among all stakeholders.
• Coordinate patient care services with other departments and community resources.
• Maintain compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and other regulatory/accrediting agencies.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels, qualifications, and competency for safe and effective care.
• Provide orientation, ongoing training, and continuing education for staff members.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality control activities.
• Manage departmental budgets and contribute to strategic planning and operational goals.
• Collaborate with care coordination teams to optimize patient throughput and discharge processes.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or actively pursuing.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience relevant to the management area and at least 1 year in a management or related leadership role.

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the applicable state.
• Strong leadership skills with knowledge of budgeting, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Understanding of age-specific physiological and psychosocial patient needs.
• Physical ability to perform duties including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and occasional heavy lifting.
