Summary: Provide professional nursing care to patients in a cardiac progressive care setting during night shifts. This role includes assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, and ensuring a safe environment. You may also assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and identify care requirements.
• Organize and deliver appropriate patient care based on assessments.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and relevant patient care records.
• Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Adjust care plans according to age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs.
• Support patients' cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical guidelines.

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Licensure: Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the applicable regional licensure.

Experience: No prior experience required; new graduates welcome.

Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective organizational and leadership abilities, and knowledge of age-specific patient needs.

Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively, observe patients closely, and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting. May involve exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.

Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
