Join a dynamic healthcare team as an Interventional Radiology Technologist specializing in invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role involves operating and ensuring the quality of imaging equipment, patient monitoring, and film processing within the Special Procedures department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all procedures within the Special Procedures section with competence and efficiency, providing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Operate technical equipment skillfully and maintain quality assurance standards.
• Serve as a communication link between nursing staff, unit secretaries, and physicians regarding orders, scheduling, and procedure status.
• Assess patients, review charts, and prepare patients for procedures while addressing questions within scope.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to radiation safety, contrast administration, and infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient care records and manage billing procedures accurately.
• Engage in continuous professional development and mandatory training.
• Foster excellent patient and visitor relations using effective communication techniques such as AIDET.
• Participate in clinical education for student technologists and quality assurance initiatives.
• Contribute to departmental teamwork and patient satisfaction goals.

Education and Experience:

• ARRT (R) certification is required.
• Cardiovascular Interventional (CV) or Vascular Interventional (VI) registry required; VI registry eligible candidates have two years to obtain certification.
• American Heart Association CPR certification provided through internal training.

Licenses and Certifications:

• RT(R)(CI)(VI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification is mandatory.
