Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of lab tests in microbiology, blood banking, chemistry, hematology, and more.
• Collect and process specimens with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure quality control.
• Analyze and interpret test results to support patient care.
• Communicate findings effectively with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• MLT: Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a NAACLS-accredited program
• MT/MLS: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field with clinical training
• Must pass a national certification exam approved by the ND Board
• MLT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), or equivalent
• Must obtain North Dakota state licensure through the Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice
• BLS (CPR) certification
