Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using a combination of standardized assessments and observational clinical methods.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that target communication, swallowing, fluency, voice, cognitive-linguistic function, and language development.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions using evidence-based interventions tailored to each patient's unique goals and circumstances.
• Work in close coordination with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nursing staff, caregivers, and family members to ensure a well-rounded and cohesive care experience.
• Provide meaningful education to patients and their support networks so that progress continues well beyond the clinic walls.
• Contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, maintaining seamless continuity of care across the treatment continuum.
• Complete all clinical documentation accurately and on time in accordance with applicable state, federal, and institutional requirements.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education, peer collaboration, and staying current with emerging research in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited university program.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Nebraska.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
