Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and senior populations through standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans tailored to meet immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that emphasize communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to foster cohesive treatment strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress outside of clinical environments.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure an uninterrupted continuum of care during the recovery journey.
• Document patient interactions and progress accurately and promptly in adherence to state and federal regulations.
• Engage in professional development and collaborative opportunities to stay at the forefront of advancements in your field.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is desirable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be secured within 30 days post-employment.
