Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN or MSN preferred)
Active RN license in the state of New Jersey
BLS certification required at time of hire
ACLS and completion of Critical Care Course required within 12 months of hire
Dysrhythmia course required within 6 months of hire
National certification in cardiac or critical care preferred
Must complete 8 hours of stroke education annually
Must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program within 6 months of hire (if not already graduated) and complete degree within three years

What You Will Do:

Provide direct nursing care to patients in an acute cardiac setting
Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess vital signs, and respond to changes in patient status
Develop individualized plans of care using evidence-based practice
Administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with procedures
Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and interdisciplinary team members
Accurately document care in the electronic medical record
Supervise delegated tasks and support patient safety initiatives
