Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including detailed history intake and hands-on physical examinations
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory findings to support surgical assessment and clinical decision-making
• Partner with attending surgeons to develop individualized treatment and surgical care plans
• Provide direct intraoperative assistance — including room preparation, patient positioning, and instrument management throughout procedures
• Manage pre- and post-operative patient care including wound care, medication oversight, discharge instruction, and ongoing patient education

Education

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical training with a surgical focus or rotation emphasis is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid New Mexico state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain
