RN - Ambulatory Nurse Quality Coordinator  

Location: North Central New Mexico

As an Ambulatory Quality Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advancing quality and performance improvement initiatives across outpatient settings. Reporting to the Director of Quality and the Executive Director of Ambulatory Nursing, you will work closely with clinical leaders to refine workflows, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote evidence-based practices. By supporting clinic managers and directors, you will drive policy alignment, staff training, and continuous improvement efforts. Job Description / Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with CSVCG leaders, regularly updating them on progress toward integration and improvement goals. 
• Evaluate key performance indicators annually, using data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. 
• Develop, manage, and refine the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) plan, incorporating data analysis, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based practices. 
• Partner with Ambulatory Quality Physician Executive, Executive Director of Nursing, and Manager of Population Health to monitor patient outcomes and performance metrics related to ACO, value-based purchasing contracts, and HEDIS compliance. 
• Implement feedback loops and action plans to ensure quality improvements at all clinic locations. 
• Standardize clinical care quality across CSVH ambulatory settings, ensuring alignment with system-level improvement initiatives. 
• Ensure CSVH ambulatory clinical protocols adhere to DNV standards to support consistency and continuity of care. 
• Utilize nursing knowledge and quality improvement tools such as PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act) to drive measurable results. 
• Collaborate with ambulatory education teams to provide training on quality improvement initiatives. 
• Support DNV/CMS survey readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
• Participate in Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) and Root Cause Analyses (RCA), implementing remediation measures based on committee feedback. 
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient, hospital, and quality-related data. 
• Support professional growth through participation in educational programs and knowledge sharing. 

Role Requirements 

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program; BSN preferred. 
• Certification/Licenses: Current New Mexico RN license; BLS certification required; National certification in quality or ambulatory care preferred. 
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in ambulatory or outpatient settings, with at least 2 years in quality improvement or leadership roles. 
• Skills: 
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities. 
• Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration with physicians, nurses, and administrators. 
• Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. 
• Experience with EMR systems and quality reporting tools.
