Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using reliable assessments and observational methodologies.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that respond to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to design integrated care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families, aiding progress outside the clinic.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain up-to-date with advances in speech pathology through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
