Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across various demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and careful observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and the long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs of your clients.
• Engage in personalized speech therapy sessions focused on a spectrum of areas, including fluency, voice, language, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team consisting of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to implement cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families, ensuring they have the tools for progress beyond clinic walls.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to maintain continuity of care throughout each individual's journey.
• Document clinical interventions accurately and promptly, adhering to all state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay at the forefront of the field by engaging in continuing education and shared learning with peers.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been attained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
