ASCP Senior Medical Technologist - Full Time

MLee Healthcare is in search of a highly skilled and seasoned Senior Medical Technologist to head our laboratory team. The role involves managing laboratory operations, conducting complex tests, and guaranteeing precision and efficiency in diagnostic processes. Your expertise will be crucial in upholding our commitment to quality and excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities for a Senior Med Tech:

Perform and oversee a variety of complex laboratory tests on specimens including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
Supervise and mentor laboratory staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate and implement new laboratory techniques and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret test results and provide clinical correlation.

Requirements for a Senior Med Tech:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
3 - 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with progressive responsibility (preferred).
Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
NYS License.
Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).
