Description

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized tools and clinical observation.
• Design and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans that reflect each patient's unique communication needs and functional objectives.
• Deliver skilled one-on-one therapy targeting articulation, expressive and receptive language, cognitive-linguistic function, voice disorders, and dysphagia management.
• Engage in meaningful interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and social workers to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
• Provide thoughtful education and coaching to families and caregivers, empowering them to support progress between clinical visits.
• Participate in inpatient consultation and evaluation when needed, maintaining continuity of care from acute settings through outpatient recovery.
• Complete timely and thorough documentation in compliance with applicable state, federal, and facility-level standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence and curiosity.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completed or in progress if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Active New York State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
