Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment strategies that encompass both immediate and long-term goals for communication, cognition, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to design cohesive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families, empowering them to support therapy progress outside of clinical settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a holistic and continuous care experience.
• Keep meticulous records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in lifelong learning through continual education and collaboration with fellow professionals.

Education & Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
