What You Will Be Doing

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including comprehensive physical examinations and in-depth review of medical histories prior to surgical intervention
• Interpret imaging studies, laboratory findings, and diagnostic data to support accurate surgical assessment and planning
• Partner with attending surgeons to develop individualized treatment strategies tailored to each patient's unique clinical picture
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance, from room preparation and patient positioning to instrument handling throughout live procedures
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care, encompassing medication protocols, wound management, discharge coordination, and meaningful patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required
• Clinical rotations with a surgical concentration are strongly preferred and will be considered favorably

Certifications Required

• Active, unrestricted PA-C certification in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Valid state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physician Assistant
