What You Will Be Doing

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including complete physical examinations and in-depth review of medical histories prior to surgical procedures
• Interpret diagnostic imaging, lab work, and clinical data to assist in the assessment and diagnosis of surgical conditions
• Work side by side with attending surgeons to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and surgical care plans
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance — from room preparation and patient positioning to instrument handling throughout procedures
• Deliver attentive and comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, including wound management, medication oversight, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program required
• Clinical rotations with a surgical focus strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active, unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• New York State licensure as a Physician Assistant, or active eligibility to obtain licensure
