Description

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments coupled with observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that meet both immediate goals and the ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements of each patient.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design cohesive patient care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to reinforce therapeutic progress outside of the clinical setting.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient assessments and therapies to ensure alignment throughout the whole care experience.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation, complying with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaborative engagement with peers.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
