Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including comprehensive physical examinations and in-depth reviews of patient medical histories
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory findings to support the assessment and diagnosis of surgical conditions
• Work in close partnership with attending surgeons to design and carry out individualized surgical care plans
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance, including room preparation, patient positioning, and surgical instrument management throughout procedures
• Deliver attentive pre- and post-operative care encompassing medication management, wound treatment, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a fully accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotation experience with a concentration in surgical settings is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid New York State licensure as a Physician Assistant, or demonstrated eligibility to obtain
