Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessment tools and clinical observation.
• Design individualized treatment plans that address immediate therapeutic goals alongside longer-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing outcomes.
• Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting a broad range of areas including language, fluency, voice, cognitive communication, and dysphagia.
• Partner with interdisciplinary team members - including occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nurses, and family caregivers - to ensure seamlessly integrated patient care.
• Provide meaningful education to patients and their families, equipping them with strategies to reinforce progress between sessions.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed to maintain continuity across care settings.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in compliance with applicable state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education, peer learning, and engagement with emerging evidence-based practices.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completion of or current enrollment in a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Active Ohio state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
