What You'll Be Doing

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and in-depth reviews of medical and surgical histories
• Interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory values, and clinical data to support the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical conditions
• Partner with attending surgeons to design and carry out individualized surgical treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance — including surgical site preparation, patient positioning, instrument handling, and procedural support throughout cases
• Deliver attentive and holistic pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication management, wound care protocols, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from a PA program accredited by ARC-PA
• Clinical rotation experience with a surgical concentration is strongly preferred

Licensure and Certifications

• Active, unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ohio state licensure as a Physician Assistant, or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
