Description

• Create tailored treatment plans that prioritize both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy that targets communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families, to ensure cohesive patient strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families that reinforces progress made during therapy sessions.
• Occasionally engage in inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain a continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation that adheres to state, federal, and company policies.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer discussions.

Education

• A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly desirable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
