Description

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and elder patients through both standardized evaluations and observational strategies.
• Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that enhance communication skills, language development, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary professionals including nurses, physicians, occupational and physical therapists, as well as caregivers, to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide educational resources and support for patients and their families to facilitate progress outside the therapy room.
• Participate in the occasional evaluation of inpatient cases, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Uphold accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development through education and collaboration with peers in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
