Restore Motion, Rebuild Lives: Physical Therapist Opportunity in the Heart of the Pacific Northwest
Overview
Imagine starting your day knowing that what you do next will change someone's life. Not in a distant, abstract way — but right now, in the room in front of you. A patient takes a steadier step. A stroke survivor reaches for a glass of water on their own. A post-surgical warrior stands tall for the first time in weeks. That moment belongs to you. That's the power of being a Physical Therapist — and it's exactly what awaits you here.
We are actively seeking a dedicated, clinically sharp, and deeply compassionate Physical Therapist (DPT) to join a thriving rehabilitation team in Portland, Oregon. This is a role for someone who believes that movement is medicine and that every patient deserves a clinician who shows up fully — with both expertise and heart. If you are ready to bring your skills somewhere that will challenge, support, and inspire you, Portland is calling.
Description
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Deliver targeted physical therapy interventions addressing mobility restoration, functional strength, balance training, and pain management
- Partner closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary rehab colleagues to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
- Guide patients and their support systems through therapeutic goals, home exercise programs, and discharge planning with clarity and empathy
- Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in alignment with facility protocols and regulatory standards
- Engage actively in interdisciplinary rounds, team meetings, and care conferences to ensure seamless, patient-centered treatment
Education
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree earned from an accredited institution

- Prior clinical experience in inpatient or outpatient physical therapy strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with patients presenting with complex or multifaceted medical conditions
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a natural aptitude for teamwork
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and digital clinical documentation platforms
Benefits
- Highly competitive compensation reflecting your expertise and the region
- Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Continuing education support and professional licensure reimbursement
- Generous paid time off and scheduling flexibility designed to support work-life balance
- A collaborative, growth-oriented team culture with clear pathways for clinical advancement
What Your Days Will Look Like
No two days are ever quite the same — and that is part of what makes this work so rewarding. One morning you may be guiding a patient through their first cautious steps following a total knee replacement. By afternoon, you could be coaching a stroke survivor through a hard-won breakthrough in coordination and confidence. This is immersive, hands-on clinical work that demands your full attention and gives back in equal measure.
You will assess, treat, and adapt — building individualized plans that evolve alongside each patient's progress. As a valued member of a multidisciplinary care team, you will also contribute meaningfully to discharge planning and safe, supported transitions back to home or community settings. Every evaluation you complete, every session you lead, every care note you write contributes to outcomes that ripple far beyond the clinic walls.
This role is equal parts science and soul. It rewards precision, presence, and perseverance — and it offers a depth of professional fulfillment that is genuinely rare.
Why Portland, Oregon Will Feel Like Home
Portland is one of those cities that gets under your skin in the best possible way. Framed by the snow-capped peak of Mount Hood to the east and the lush ridgelines of the Tualatin Mountains to the west, it is a city built for people who want more from life — more nature, more culture, more authenticity, and more connection.
The Willamette River winds through the heart of the city, lined with parks, farmers markets, and waterfront trails that draw residents out in every season. Portland is legendary for its cycling culture, and the extensive network of bike lanes and greenways makes it one of the most bike-friendly cities in the nation. On weekends, residents hike through Forest Park — one of the largest urban forests in the country — or take day trips to the Columbia River Gorge, where waterfalls cascade through ancient basalt cliffs in a scene that feels almost mythological.
But Portland is not just a city for outdoor lovers. It is a city for thinkers, creators, and food enthusiasts. The culinary scene is extraordinary — from award-winning farm-to-table restaurants and celebrated food cart pods to world-class craft breweries and independent coffee roasters that take their craft with refreshing seriousness. The arts and music communities are vibrant and grassroots, the neighborhoods are distinct and walkable, and the people are famously welcoming to newcomers who arrive with open minds and big ambitions.
For healthcare professionals, Portland offers the rare combination of a major metro area's career infrastructure and a Pacific Northwest lifestyle that genuinely prioritizes wellness, sustainability, and work-life harmony. The region boasts an exceptional network of hospitals, specialty clinics, and research institutions — making it a place where ambitious clinicians can build long and meaningful careers without sacrificing quality of life.
Who We Are Looking For
You are the kind of clinician who does not stop thinking about your patients when the session ends. You approach every evaluation with curiosity, every treatment with intention, and every patient interaction with the full weight of your attention and care. You know that recovery is rarely linear, and you have the patience and adaptability to meet patients exactly where they are.
Whether you are a seasoned DPT looking for a setting that truly values your expertise, or an emerging clinician ready to grow within a supportive and experienced team, this is a role built for someone who wants their work to mean something. Strong clinical instincts, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine investment in each patient's journey are what we value most.
