Description

• Conduct thorough assessments for patients from pediatric to geriatric age groups using trusted evaluations and observational methods.
• Craft personalized therapy plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to design cohesive care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance learning and progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring a seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient documentation that aligns with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Earned a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
