What You Will Be Doing

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including detailed physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical and surgical histories
• Interpret laboratory findings and diagnostic imaging to support surgical diagnosis and pre-operative planning
• Work in close partnership with attending surgeons to develop and carry out individualized treatment strategies
• Offer hands-on intraoperative assistance including room preparation, patient positioning, and instrument handling throughout procedures
• Deliver attentive pre- and post-operative care encompassing medication management, wound assessment, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from a fully accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotation experience with a surgical concentration is strongly preferred

Required Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Physician Assistant, or eligibility to obtain licensure
