Description

• Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing established assessment tools and clinical observations.
• Create tailored treatment regimens that cater to both immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing areas like language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work in harmonious collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing personnel, physicians, guardians, and families to formulate cohesive care approaches.
• Provide informative sessions for patients and their families to encourage continued improvement beyond clinical interactions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless treatment experience.
• Keep meticulous records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Continuously broaden your knowledge in the field through professional development and peer interactions.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
