Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including physical examinations and comprehensive review of medical histories prior to surgical intervention
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory data to support accurate surgical assessment and planning
• Work in close partnership with attending surgeons to develop and carry out individualized treatment strategies for each patient
• Actively assist throughout surgical procedures, including room preparation, patient positioning, and hands-on instrument support intraoperatively
• Oversee pre- and post-operative patient care encompassing medication management, wound assessment, discharge coordination, and individualized patient education

Education

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotation experience with a surgical emphasis is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• South Dakota state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain it
