What You'll Be Doing

• Perform thorough patient assessments including complete physical examinations and in-depth medical history reviews
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory data to support surgical evaluation and diagnosis
• Partner with attending surgeons to develop and carry out individualized, patient-centered surgical care plans
• Provide hands-on intraoperative support — from room preparation and patient positioning to instrument handling throughout procedures
• Deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative care encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from a fully accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotation experience with a surgical concentration is strongly preferred

Required Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through the NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Valid Texas PA license or documented eligibility for licensure
