Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Surgical Preparation: Prepare operating rooms by organizing surgical instruments, supplies, and sterile drapes in accordance with procedural needs.
• Assisting During Surgery: Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and maintain a sterile field throughout each procedure.
• Equipment Management: Operate, inspect, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring functionality before and during operations.
• Patient Safety & Sterility: Rigorously apply aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure the highest standards of safety.
• Post-Surgical Duties: Support OR clean-up and assist with the decontamination and sterilization of surgical tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA (or ability to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Skills & Experience:
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay composed in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with OR procedures, tools, and sterile techniques
  • Previous surgical tech experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome
