Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across the lifespan using standardized tools and clinical observation to establish accurate diagnoses and baselines.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans addressing communication, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing function.
• Deliver direct, one-on-one speech-language therapy interventions tailored to each patient's unique clinical profile and personal goals.
• Partner with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to develop and execute integrated care plans.
• Provide meaningful education and guidance to patients and caregivers to extend therapeutic progress beyond scheduled sessions.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatment as needed, ensuring seamless continuity across care settings.
• Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with all applicable state, federal, and facility standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to remain at the forefront of evidence-based practice.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completed or in progress if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Texas.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
