Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages, utilizing standardized assessments and thoughtful observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Implement focused speech therapy interventions addressing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues in one-on-one sessions.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to develop integrated care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining a seamless flow of care throughout the patient’s journey.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation complying with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
