Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations using both standardized assessments and observational clinical methods.
• Design individualized treatment plans that address both immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia.
• Partner closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nursing staff, families, and caregivers to coordinate holistic and cohesive care plans.
• Provide meaningful education to patients and their support networks to reinforce therapeutic progress between sessions.
• Contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions on an as-needed basis to support continuity of care across the treatment continuum.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in full compliance with organizational, state, and federal requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to remain at the forefront of evidence-based practice.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Texas.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
