Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, encompassing detailed physical assessments and comprehensive medical history reviews prior to surgical procedures
• Interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory findings, and clinical data to support accurate surgical diagnosis and planning
• Partner directly with attending surgeons to design and carry out individualized, patient-centered treatment strategies
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance, including surgical field preparation, patient positioning, instrument handling, and real-time procedural support
• Manage pre- and post-operative patient care with precision — overseeing medications, wound management, discharge coordination, and thorough patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical training with a concentration in surgical rotations is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of hire
• Texas state licensure as a Physician Assistant, or active eligibility to obtain licensure
