Description

• Partner with a multidisciplinary team — including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and physicians — to coordinate integrated care plans.
• Guide patients and their families through the recovery process with education, encouragement, and practical home strategies.
• Contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Produce thorough, timely clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and facility standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education, peer learning, and engagement with current evidence-based research.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been awarded.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Texas.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
