Description

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized tools and skilled clinical observation.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that target short and long-term goals in communication, cognitive-linguistic function, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Deliver focused, one-on-one therapy sessions rooted in evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
• Work hand-in-hand with an interdisciplinary team including occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to deliver seamless, whole-person care.
• Provide meaningful education and coaching to patients and their families so that progress continues well beyond the walls of the clinic.
• Support inpatient speech therapy needs as required, ensuring continuity and quality throughout every stage of recovery.
• Complete thorough, timely documentation in compliance with all applicable state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education, clinical collaboration, and emerging research in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• Active Texas state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
