Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Design tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language development, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate synergistic care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families, promoting ongoing progress outside the clinic.
• Assist with periodic inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring seamless continuity in the care process.
• Keep precise and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and hospital policies.
• Remain abreast of industry advancements via continual education and peer networking.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is yet to be obtained.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
