Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including physical examinations and comprehensive review of medical histories prior to surgical procedures
• Interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory findings, and other clinical data to assist in the assessment and diagnosis of surgical conditions
• Work directly with attending surgeons to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical needs and goals
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance, including room preparation, patient positioning, instrument handling, and procedural support throughout surgical cases
• Manage pre- and post-operative patient care including wound management, medication protocols, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a Physician Assistant program accredited by ARC-PA
• Clinical training with a surgical concentration is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active, unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Valid Texas PA licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain
