What You Will Do Every Day

• Prepare and position patients for a full range of ultrasound examinations, ensuring comfort, safety, and procedural readiness throughout each study
• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment with efficiency and accuracy, capturing detailed, high-resolution images of internal anatomical structures
• Critically assess acquired images in real time, contributing to the diagnostic process and supporting treatment planning across clinical departments
• Maintain thorough, accurate records of patient histories, imaging procedures performed, and diagnostic findings in accordance with facility standards
• Collaborate directly with physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary care team members to review sonographic findings and optimize patient care pathways
• Keep ultrasound equipment properly calibrated, maintained, and in full working order; escalate technical issues promptly to minimize downtime
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients before, during, and after procedures, addressing questions and providing appropriate follow-up guidance

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

Licensure & Certifications

• Active certification through ARRT or ARDMS is required
• Active Texas Medical Board MRT license or ARDMS certification required for practice in Texas
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on ultrasound imaging experience required

Preferred Skills

• Strong interpersonal communication skills for patient-facing and team-based interactions
• Demonstrated professionalism in both clinical conduct and personal presentation
• Proven ability to manage sensitive patient data discreetly and responsibly
