Description

• Conduct assessments for patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized methods and keen observational skills.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on communication aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure cohesive care plans.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions from time to time to guarantee ongoing care throughout the recovery journey.
• Document all interactions accurately and timely following state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in your field through ongoing education and team collaborations.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) pending ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of hire.
