Job Responsibilities

• Create Tailored Treatment Approaches: Assess patients’ needs and craft individualized therapy programs to empower them in reaching their full functional potential.
• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to improve patients’ motor skills, cognitive functions, and everyday activities.
• Engage with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work hand-in-hand with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to provide comprehensive care that is holistic in nature.
• Educate Patients and Families: Teach patients and their caregivers therapy techniques that will encourage ongoing progress at home.
• Track and Document Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and adapt treatment plans when necessary, keeping patients on their journey towards recovery.

Education Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Continuing education or postgraduate certifications are encouraged and supported.

Licenses and Certifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is necessary.
