ASCP / AMT Medical Technologist

MLR is seeking a skilled and certified Medical Technologist to join our client’s esteemed laboratory team near Telferner, Texas!

Key Responsibilities of the Medical Technologist:

• Perform a range of laboratory tests, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology.
• Accurately analyze and interpret test results, ensuring timely reporting to healthcare providers.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Adhere to strict quality control protocols and regulatory standards to maintain high lab practices.
• Document and report test results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to communicate test results and their implications for patient care.
• Participate in ongoing education and training on new laboratory technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications for MT / MLT:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) through ASCP, AMT, or a similar accrediting body.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Current Texas state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Medical Technologist.
