Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using standardized tools, clinical observation, and patient history.
• Design individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's short-term functional milestones and long-term communication, swallowing, and cognitive goals.
• Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy addressing language development, fluency, voice, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia management.
• Function as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
• Provide meaningful education and home programming guidance to patients and their support systems to reinforce progress between appointments.
• Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, maintaining seamless continuity across care settings.
• Uphold thorough, timely documentation practices in compliance with state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, peer collaboration, and evidence-based practice advancements within the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completed or currently in progress for candidates not yet holding ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Active Utah state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
