Description

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations across inpatient or outpatient settings and develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
• Deliver targeted physical therapy interventions addressing mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence
• Partner closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation colleagues to drive optimal patient outcomes
• Guide patients and their families through therapeutic goals, home exercise programs, and discharge planning with clarity and compassion
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in alignment with facility and regulatory standards
• Contribute meaningfully to interdisciplinary care conferences and daily team rounds to support coordinated, whole-patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia
• CPR certification preferred
• Specialty certifications such as neurological or geriatric PT are a welcome addition, though not required

Skills

• Prior clinical experience is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage patients with complex medical needs and mobility challenges
