Description

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations across inpatient or outpatient settings and develop personalized, goal-driven treatment plans
• Deliver physical therapy interventions targeting functional mobility, muscular strength, postural balance, and overall physical performance
• Work in close coordination with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation specialists to drive optimal patient outcomes
• Provide meaningful education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, home exercise programs, and discharge readiness
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and clinical progress in alignment with facility standards and regulatory requirements
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary care conferences and rounding to ensure continuity and cohesion across the care team

Education

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent graduate-level degree from a fully accredited institution

Certifications

• Active Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Virginia
• CPR certification is preferred
• Specialty certifications in areas such as geriatrics, neurology, or orthopedics are welcomed but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior clinical experience is strongly preferred, though passionate new graduates are encouraged to apply
