What You Will Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient evaluations including health histories, physical exams, and diagnostic workups
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, and episodic conditions either independently or in physician collaboration based on credentialing
• Developing and executing individualized, evidence-based treatment and care plans
• Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions within your full scope of practice
• Providing patient and family education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and self-management strategies
• Supporting continuity of care through diligent follow-up, chronic disease management, and care coordination
• Partnering with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, whole-person care
• Maintaining accurate, timely documentation within electronic medical record systems

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C via AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty credential
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or obtainable within 90 days of hire
