Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, encompassing detailed physical examinations and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Support the diagnostic process by analyzing imaging results, laboratory findings, and other clinical data relevant to surgical planning
• Work in close partnership with attending surgeons to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment strategies
• Actively participate in surgical procedures, including room preparation, patient positioning, and skilled instrument handling throughout cases
• Provide attentive and thorough perioperative care — spanning medication management, wound care protocols, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotations with a concentration in surgical disciplines are strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Virginia state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure
