Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a Respiratory Therapist providing essential respiratory care services under physician orders. This role involves administering oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation for adult and geriatric patients. You will plan, implement, and evaluate therapy effectiveness while collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.

Education

Associate degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required.

Experience

At least two years of directly related experience in an acute care setting is necessary to succeed in this role.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, unrestricted respiratory care practitioner license for the state of Washington.
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification required upon hire; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required within one year.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories and clinical skills, including safe operation of respiratory equipment.
• Ability to assess patient needs and responses to treatment across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
• Experience with home respiratory therapy equipment and medication administration.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers.
• Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, timely respiratory care; conduct pulmonary function tests; administer prescribed therapies; monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed; manage respiratory equipment; participate in discharge planning and patient education; contribute to policy development and staff training; and support a positive, collaborative work environment.
